Hamura City is located about 45 kilometers west of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. Surrounded by nature around the Tama River and woods, presenting the image of old Musashino, Hamura is a well-balanced city with residential areas and industrial areas.
The city covers 9.90 square kilometers. The Tama River flows from west to south in the city, and the city is known for the intake weir of Tamagawa Aqueduct, which was constructed in the Edo period.
The municipal system was inaugurated on November 1, 1991, and the city has been working to develop a beautiful city where humans, nature and urban functions are in harmony.
Hamura City Sports Center is the comprehensive sport center. We have 2 Gymnastic halls available for ball games with wooden floors, 1 JUDO hall (having two tatami mats area), and 1 Training room. Adjunct facilities such as dressing and shower rooms and meeting rooms help athletes and staffs for training.
